The principles of play-based education at The Meadow
Our play-based learning approach promotes creativity and critical thinking by allowing children to learn through hands-on activities and guided play experiences.

Play
Play is a preschooler’s work. Through deep engaging play themes, we begin to understand the workings of the world, the delicacies of human relationships, our understanding of our self, our strengths and how we learn.
Differentiated instruction, play based and cooperative learning woven into predictable routines ensure all learning styles, Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, and Kinesthetic are represented so that every child has the opportunity to grow into their fullest potential.
GUIDE
More than ever children need inspiration, encouragement, support and solid education practices built on research in order to thrive in our challenging society. The Meadow provides this stability, where children can grow, learning in a peaceful, natural environment.
Studies indicate that for every dollar spent on quality early childhood education, there can be a return of $2 to $16 in benefits like increased educational attainment, improved employment outcomes, and better health, essentially narrowing the achievement gap and providing long-term advantages.

MISSION
For a child, growth, self realization and fulfillment springs from positive interactions with adults, peers and their physical environment. A safe, interactive, natural environment fosters curiosity, action, and a desire to understand more.
The Meadow’s mission is to inspire a diverse, multiage group of learners to achieve academic excellence through play while developing a strong sense of character, and community. Its goal is to preserve each child’s natural curiosity and love of learning.
